The Powell Forestry mobile application ("the App") is a business tool
provided by Probase Applications Limited ("we", "us") for authorised staff and
contractors of Powell Forestry to record advice notes and weight tickets.
It is not intended for use by the general public.
Data we collect and why
Account credentials — a username and password issued to
you by your organisation, used solely to authenticate you with our
systems.
Business records you create — advice notes, weight
tickets, and related details (contract numbers, customers, products,
species, weights, dates) entered as part of your work. These are business
data belonging to Powell Forestry, transmitted to and stored on our
servers.
Photographs and documents — images you attach to
records (e.g. haulage maps, site photos), uploaded via our file-storage
provider, Filestack, and linked to the business records above.
What we do not do
We do not collect data for advertising, and the App contains no
advertising or third-party analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
except the service providers named below, who process it on our
behalf.
We do not track your location. Location permissions, where requested
by the operating system, are used only to support camera and file
features on your device.
Where data is stored
Records are stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure operated by us.
Attachments are stored with Filestack. Data you enter is also cached on
your device so the App works offline; it synchronises to our servers when
a connection is available.
Data retention and your rights
Business records are retained in line with Powell Forestry's business
and legal requirements. If you wish to access, correct, or request
deletion of personal data relating to you, or have any privacy questions,
contact us at the address below and we will respond in accordance with UK
GDPR.
